Arid Regions
Arid regions block water due to local (Rainshadow) or global (Low
Pressure, 30 N&S) weather patterns.
In arid regions, water is still the dominant erosive force.
Soils in arid areas are hard-baked, so when it does rain, the soil doesn't
absorb water into its pores.
Overland flow fills "Wadis", which are one-day creek beds,
fill up rapidly during desert rainstorms
These Wadis end as quickly as they began, and leave behind deposition
features like:
Alluvial Fans: Delta like deposits in Desert valleys.
Flayas: Salt bed deposits when water evaporates in deposition.
